Hmmm it's SHE KILLS MONSTERS so I want the words to speak for themselves. It’s set in OHIO and in the 90s . We as People. Will naturally bring our own history and rhythm to the dialogue and thus the story may become something new. Same dialogue.
I see it set in an upper middle class America. The Family with college degrees and 401ks. Suburban Babies. A Nice size house and manicured lawn. HOA’s and RSVP’s . They went to basketball games and holiday gatherings. They prolly don’t know what EBT is. Sheltered kids. They go to High School, Church, The Mall, The Movies, and Home. It’s imaginative, colorful, and moving. Quick. Life can pass you bye so quickly. This is a Colorful and Live Experience. “Flashing. Lights (lights lights lights)” The world will create itself, based on the script.
